Co-curricular Activities
Art Club...
are students interested in art who meet regulary to expand their
skills and knowledge.
Battle of the Books (BOB)...
is a competition between teams of students who have read an
annual reading list of books. Winning team members then
compete against teams from other schools. In 2006, FVL Battle
of the Books team placed 2nd in the state competition.
Chapel Organists...
are students musicians who volunteer their musical talents to
enrich the worship of the school's daily chapel services by playing
the organ.

The Choraliers...
are a select group of singers who perform for various school
functions. As the school's swing choir, they perform at many
Federation and community events. Participation is by audition.
The Cross and Crown...
is the school yearbook. The yearbook summarizes the annual school
activities in picture and story for the student body and provides
staff members with journalism experience. FVL's yearbook is
distributed each spring.
The FVL Theatre...
offers students the chance to perform plays and musicals on stage.
Plays, children's theatre and musicals are offered on a rotating
basis with two productions staged each year. Stage roles are
awarded by audition. Students can also get involved in set
construction, make-up/costuming, sound/lighting and musician
roles.
Forensics...
provides students an opportunity to develop talent and gain
experience in various types of public speaking. Members participate
in local and state competitions.
Fox Folks Marionettes...
is one of the few active marionette troupes in the state of
Wisconsin. This group was created with the donation of nearly 50
marionettes from Bruce & Barbara Purdy and All Saints'
Episcopal Church of Appleton. Performances are offered during
the Christmas season. Last year the group performed at the Fox
Cities Performing Arts Center in conjunction with the run

Jazz Ensemble...
provides student musicians an additional opportunity to develop
their talents. An annual concert is offered each spring in addition
to other performances during the year including Solo/Ensemble
competition.
Jesus Cares Ministry Team...
provides students the opportunity to share their faith and
fellowship through the Jesus Cares outreach to the developmentally
disabled. Team members assist with monthly worship services in
Green Bay throughout the school year.
Library Assistants...
gain experience in working behind the desk in the school's Media
Center. Members assist the school staff by checking out books to
students and the many other duties necessary to keep the media
center running smoothly.
Light & Sound Crew...
works behind the scenes at major events staged at the school.
Whether on stage in the gym, commons, or auditorium, members of
this group can be found seting up mikes, speakers, or making sure
the lights are set just right for the key scene.
The Math Club...
is a group for students who are interested in developing
their math skills. This club is a perenial contender in
the Fox Valley Math League
championship and also sponsors the annual FVL Math
Bowl for the FVL Schools middle school students.
Mock Trial...
gives students the opportunity to experience life in the court
room. Student take on roles as lawyers, witnesses, defendants. They
compete locally with other area high schools each year at the
Outagamie County Court House.
National Honor Society...
FVL's chapter of the NHS is active with many service
projects each year. Induction is held each fall for juniors
and seniors based on their academic standing. Students accepting
NHS nomination pledge to maintain high standards of character,
leadership, and service throughout their high school career.
Quiz Wizards...
gives sophomores through seniors the opportunity to match wits
with students of other schools in a competitive forum. Students
form their own teams and compete against each other. The winning
FVL team represents the school at the annual Knowledge Bowl
competion. FVL teams have won four championships!
STOP (Students Take On Prevention)...
STOP's purpose is to promote a drug-free school through positive
peer pressure and education. They present to grade
school groups to encourage Christian attitudes regarding
alcohol and illegal drugs.
Student Council...
provides students the opportunity to take part in the student
government. This group of students from all classes
organizes the social events of the school year. Homecoming,
Prom, dances, blood drives, clothing drives and more are all
