ACT Scores - 2016
ACT scores in the state of Wisconsin dropped significantly with the new policy that all students are now mandated to take the test. In 2015 Wisconsin had ranked second in the U.S. in ACT scores; this year those scores have dropped below the national average. Fox Valley Lutheran students continue to far exceed both state and national averages.
The composite average of FVL students remained at 24.4 for 2016. This is the sixth straight year that FVL students have scored 24.0 or higher on this national college readiness test. It is encouraging that while state and national scores dipped, FVL students were able to continue to score well.
These high scores demonstrate the Lord's blessings on the educational efforts of the entire FVL Schools system. The scores are a tribute to the hard work not only of the students, but also of their parents, elementary, and high school teachers.
The ACT exams are standards used nationwide by schools to judge the quality of the education they offer. While such tests cannot measure the quality of a Christ-centered education, they can provide important information about the quality of instruction students are receiving in key subjects at FVL.
