How to Register

Enrolling as an FVL Freshman...

STEP 1: EXPLORE Test Dates

All 8th graders are asked to take ACT's EXPLORE Test. It is offered at FVL on two Saturdays each fall and once in the spring. The test runs from 10 am through 1 pm. Check the FVL online calendar for the exact dates each year.

STEP 2: 8th Grade Student/Parent Welcome Night

All prospective 8th grade students are invited to attend our "8th Grade Student/Parent Welcome Night" in late October. Students will have a chance to meet their classmates. Enrollment materials will be distributed and a parents' session is held to answer questions.

STEP 3: FVL Enrollment Folder

Students attending a public middle school or junior high can pick up an enrollment folder at 8th Grade Welcome Night in October or can request one from the Guidance Office.

Those attending an FVL Schools elementary school will receive an enrollment folder through your principal after the 8th Grade Welcome Night in October.

STEP 4:  Fill out Enrollment Forms

Read through and fill out the materials in the enrollment folder to be ready for your scheduling appointment.

STEP 5:  Your Scheduling Appointment

In the first week of November, registration and scheduling conferences are held at FVL. Specially trained faculty members will meet with parents and students to complete the enrollment process and schedule classes for each enrollee. Tours of the school are available for interested families. Families who cannot schedule a registration session at this time shoud contact Freshman Admissions Counselor Mr. Tom Guenterberg who will set up a special meeting to work through enrollment materials and schedule classes.

STEP 6: Family Meeting for Non-WELS Enrollees

For families not of our faith or fellowship, we schedule a special meeting to acquaint families with our school policies and educational philosophy before enrolling. Along with the family, attendees at the meeting will include a member of the school administration, the religion department, and the guidance department.
