Alumni Alive - Tuition Assistance Project
In the past years, Alumni Alive has contributed $27,000 to the
tuition assistance effort at FVL. At their last meeting, they
decided to take on another project to help keep Christian education
affordable for the families of the FVL Federation. They will do
that by helping to create an FVL Business Directory.
The purpose of the directory
would be three-fold
1) Connections between business owners and FVL will be
created
2) Sales of listings in the directory will raise dollars for
tuition assistance
3) Users of the directory can have the peace of mind that they are
receiving a product or service from an individual or business
operated in part by a Christian-minded individual who is affiliated
with Fox Valley Lutheran High School, and who support its
mission.
The directory will be placed on-line on the FVL website for easy
access and upgrade. FVL students will be able to help by word
processing listings into an Excel spreadsheet for import into Adobe
In Design. Printed copies would be given to all companies listed.
Copies will be made available to all churches if they will insert
into member mail boxes or place in a tract rack.
If 100 ads are sold at $250 per add, $25,000 of revenue would be
created. Alumni Alive hopes to raise $15,000 - $20,000 for
tuition assistance bringing their yearly contribution to $25,000.
Listings would be resold every year creating an additional revenue
stream for growing tuition assistance needs.
Alumni, congregation leaders, FVL Friends, Faculty
and Staff of FVL are being asked to share names of businesses
to be solicited. Mr. Fischer will make many of the contacts himself
and also look to involve other Federation leaders in the
work. So, Who do you know that owns a business or
is a lead person in that business that may be interested in placing
a listing in the business directory to help out the FVL Tuition
Assistance effort?
Please share the name of that company or individual and phone or
email with Bob Fischer. The work begins now. Please help.
God bless and keep you all.
