What is SCRIP?
SCRIP means "substitute money." FVL purchases gift cards & certificates to sell to FVL supporters to generate extra income for tuition assistance and other school programs. Use SCRIP instead of money to cut tuition costs and support school programs without spending a penny more than you normally would!
Why SCRIP?
50% of the income generated by your purchases is credited to a student of your choice or to the Tuition Assistance Program.
- tuition credit may be applied to the account of a future FVL student. (see Note below)
- other people can use the program to benefit your student! Ask relatives & friends to help you by using Scrip
- remaining income supports the Growing in Grace Debt Retirement Fund and the FVL Foundation (Endowment Fund) in addition to paying the administrative costs of the program.
How do I purchase SCRIP?
Most simply come to the Scrip Office at FVL. Scrip can be ordered by email, fax, or calling in your order. Parents can have their teen serve as a courier. Orders can be dropped in the drop-off box before school any day and picked up after school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
All purchases must be paid for when ordering or picking up SCRIP. You may pay with cash or check. Make checks payable to: Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Students need to sign for orders they pick up. No SCRIP orders will be mailed out.
If SCRIP must be ordered, allow 7 - 10 days to receive your order. If you can't wait for an order, please note that you only wish to purchase in-stock Scrip or list what would be an acceptable substitute. A new order blank will be included with your order. Additional order forms are available in the school office.
The Scrip Order Form changes periodically as stores are added/ removed and discounts/denominations change. The back of the order form features other items of interest. Check it for news items and announcements.
Note on how SCRIP Tuition Credits are applied:
- Tuition credit accumulates from purchases made between June 1 and May 31 each year.
- Current freshmen, sophomores and juniors will have the credit applied to their next year's tuition.
- Current senior families may transfer their credit to another student. If not, it is automatically credited to the school's Tuition Assistance Program.
- For future students, the credit accumulates and is applied to the student's account their freshman year at FVL. The SCRIP year runs from June 1- May 31. Credits are applied to tuition statements before they are mailed in June.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF FVL's SCRIP PROGRAM!
