Growing spiritually is at the heart of FVL's mission to its students. Each student is enrolled in a curriculum of religious classes. More than that, as a Christian high school, FVL strives to teach all subjects in the light of God's inerrant word.
Daily chapel services are offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesday, students participate in a time of personal Bible reading. Prayers both open the day and close it at FVL.
The Christian atmosphere of the school is evident even in the hallways and classrooms where Christian artwork, Bible passages, and handcrafted crosses are displayed.
Each year a Scriptural theme is chosen and emphasized throughout the school year. Students are encouraged to share their faith and put it into action by developing their talents in leadership and volunteer service.
