Church Support
Fox Valley Lutheran High School is owned and operated by a
federation of 40 WELS (Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod) churches
from across the Fox River Valley. Each congregation is
represented in the government of the school with representation on
the school's General Board which meets three times annually.
By General Board resolution, the congregations are to cover 40
percent of the operating cost of the school's annual budget.
While there are a number of congregations do support at the 40
percent level, currently operational support from the Federation
congregations is at 20 percent of the total budget. This shortfall
puts greater pressure on tuition (over 70% of budget) and third
source income (over 10% of budget) as ways to fund our
ministry.
Over the last ten years, Federation church support for the
operating budget has reached these support levels.
- 2000-01 = $661,671
- 2001-02 = $738,511
- 2002-03 = $732,023
- 2003-04 = $776,680
- 2004-05 = $789,117
- 2005-06 = $776,117
- 2006-07 = $800,000
- 2007-08 = $864,699
- 2008-09 = $879,551
- 2009-10 = $850,000
- 2010-11 = $866,482
- 2011-12 = $877,013
At the same time, the Growing in Grace stewardship
effort has also been generating an average of over $300,000
annually to pay down the debt on the new campus. Plans call for
this debt to be retired in 2020 God-willing.
We recognize that God give us all we have. In thankfulness,
we respond to His grace. We can say "thank you" to our Lord by
giving of our time, talent, and treasure in His service.
