Academic Policy - Add/Drop Guidelines

  • Students cannot drop a course that would give them two study halls in a semester without the consent of their Guidance Counselor and Administration.
  • A student may add a full year or 1st semester only class up to ten school days after the 1st semester has started. 
  • A student may add a 2nd semester only class up to ten school days after the 2nd semester has started. 
  • During Semester 1, a student may drop a class up to the end of term 1 for full year classes or semester 1 classes. Nothing may be dropped during term 2. 
  • During Semester 2, a student may drop a full-year or semester 2 class up to the end of term 3. Nothing may be dropped during term 4. 
  • For courses designated as Honors courses, a student has until Mid-Term 1 for Semester 1 classes or full-year classes, or Mid-Term 2 for 2nd Semester courses to drop the course. The only course that may be added would be a similar course (i.e. Honors Physics to Physics).
