FVL's Mission Statement - Fox Valley Lutheran High School in partnership with families and Federation churches, provides students with a Christ-centered education preparing teens for lives of service and for eternity.

In an effort to help meet the school’s mission, the administration has identified five Core Values that define FVL.

  Christ Centered

“. . . and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:15–17

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”  John 20:31

Over the years, the building has changed, and course offerings have increased. What has never changed, though, is that Jesus is at the center of everything FVL does. School days begin and end in prayer. All students are enrolled in religion classes. Chapel services and/or Bible studies keep daily worship a priority in the lives of everyone on campus.

  Family Focused

“Come my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.”  Psalm 34:11

FVL looks at the education of a child as a partnership between parents and teachers. It is for this reason that FVL strives to maintain transparency in its communication with families, always focused on what is best for the students.

  Relationship Driven

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34–35

FVL understands that without its Federation of congregations and a community of businesses and organizations to both support and rely on, the school could not function. We are eternally grateful to The Bargain Garden Thrift Shop, our Partnering With Business participants, and our FVL Schools for their support. In turn, our students and organizations often participate in community events, highway clean-up, and local benefits.

  Humble Service

“Therefore, as we have opportunity let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:10

With its model in Christ, who humbled himself to serve mankind, FVL strives to foster an attitude of humble service in the hearts of its students. Opportunities (blood drives and recycling drives) and student clubs/organizations (Peer Leadership Group, American Mentor Group, National Honor Society, and Perspective) exist to encourage students to put God and others before themselves.

  Pursuit of Excellence

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”  Colossians 3:23

FVL has been greatly blessed over the years, and those blessings have enabled our faculty, staff, and students to devote the very best of their abilities to the academic, athletic, and artistic successes of FVL students. To meet our goals, faculty members are encouraged and financially assisted to pursue master’s degrees in their fields. We thank the FVL Foundation for their support of this continuing education. Additionally, classrooms, playing fields, performance spaces, resources, and technology are maintained and regularly updated to ensure a competitive edge for FVL students after graduation.
