This semester course provides students with a survey of the history of Britain and British literature via works of fiction and non-fiction. Genres include poetry, short stories, and essays. Major works covered include Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Students will focus on evaluating the authors’ intent, impact, and philosophies from a Christian viewpoint, while practicing moral and ethical responsibilities as readers, interpreters, and writers of English.
