ENG-Introduction to Research (INTRES)

Grades 11, 12

This semester course emphasizes equipping high school students with fundamental skills in conducting action-oriented research. This course focuses on empowering students to explore, investigate, and act upon real-world issues through a systematic research approach. Students will engage in activities aimed at developing essential research skills, including crafting research questions, constructing a comprehensive literature review, and conducting and analyzing action research.
The research and writing skills taught in this course are intended to effectively prepare students for the rigor of high school and college courses that require action research. 

Prerequisite: LA2 or ALA2

Required: No, however, students intending on taking College Brit Lit  must take either INTRES or AAMLIT during their junior year.

Note: Application required with prior year teacher approval.
