FINE - Painting (PAINT)

This course introduces the fundamentals of colors, the mixing of colors, use of various tools and art mediums and substrates including acrylic glazing, impasto, watercolor, and mixed media techniques. The class focuses on how an artist uses the elements and principles of art to create dynamic and meaningful compositions. The course draws on inspiration from past and present artistic masters. Students participate in self and peer critiques of their work.
- Prerequisite: Intro to Drawing. 2-D Art is recommended. If no 2-D Art, instructor approval needed. B average or higher in pre-requisite courses. If no 2-D Art, instructor approval needed
