FINE - Men's Choir (MCHOR)

Grades 9, 10, 11

 

Men's Choir is a two-semester course designed to provide any interested male student, grades 9-11, with an introduction to choral singing. This ensemble uses choral literature and other resources to teach vocal technique, basic music theory, and sight-singing skills in preparation for singing in A Cappella Choir. Students do not need any prior experience in singing. The choir has five scheduled concert performances during the school year and may also sing for chapel services.

  • Prerequisite: A basic vocal check is required at the beginning of the school year. Students must demonstrate an ability to match pitch vocally within a workable range.
  • Recommendation: interest in vocal performance (a desire to sing)
  • Required: No
  • Note: Class may be taken for repeat credit
