Dual enrollment option is offered at a cost of $275 for three credits. The comparable college course is Math 117.

Statistics surround us in modern education, business, and all of life. In this class, students go beyond the basic statistics they have learned to explore the statistics of both categorical and quantitative data, constructing and interpreting graphical displays of distributions of univariate and bivariate data (dotplot, stemplot, histogram, cumulative frequency plot, scatter plots, two-way tables); exploring methods of data collection; planning and conducting surveys; sampling; planning and conducting experiments; discussing results and types of conclusions that can be drawn from observational studies, experiments, and surveys; and examining the normal distribution and its properties.

  • Prerequisite: Completion of ALG2 or ALG 2/Trig.  Grade of C+ or higher in ALG 2 or ALG 2/Trig is recommended for successful completion of the course. 3.0 or ACT 24 or Top 25% needed for dual credit enrollment.  
  • Recommendation: Any student desiring a math course after Algebra 2
