Pre Algebra is designed to both review and dig deep into middle math standards that are necessary for success in high school Algebra.  Most students who complete pre-algebra will move into Algebra 1a.  This course emphasizes integer operations, order of operations, and an introduction to variables and linear equations.  In addition to the pre-algebra curriculum, students as needed may work individually on math skills needed to fill in learning gaps.

• Prerequisite: placement via department testing and evaluation or completion of Individual Basic Math.
• Required: Yes, unless taking Algebra 1A or Algebra 1
