PHYED - Personal Challenges (PERCH)

Students will work together in a fun, safe, learn-by-doing format to develop a fundamental comprehension of personal and seasonal lifetime activities such as:
- GOLF - The student will have the opportunity to develop basic golf skills through lectures, demonstrations, drills, and gameplay. The student will gain knowledge of proper golf etiquette and other areas as related to the game of golf.
- IN-LINE SKATING - The student will learn how to heel brake effectively, how to skate slowly for stability and then faster for fitness. This course has beginner and advanced options to feel safe and secure at any speed.
- LAWN GAMES - LAWN GAMES - Simple, yet fun games that promote teamwork. Activities include corn hole, ladder ball, washers, Kan Jam, Spikeball and Crossnet.
- SNOWSHOEING (snow dependent) - The student will be active as we enjoy winter travel with weekly walks through Plamann and FVL’s own Foxtail Meadows. Students will need to provide their own winter boots and clothing. Snowshoes will be provided.
- CURLING- Students practice the basic skills and game knowledge both on campus and at Appleton Curling Club.
- DANCE- Students will engage in two different dancing genres. Two different line dances along with basic swing dance moves are taught.
