SOC - History 2B (HIS2B)

This class is an elective second-semester course which examines world history from the Age of Enlightenment to the mid-20th century.  During the semester, students will identify the major people, literary works, values and ideas prized during the different time periods while reinforcing an appreciation of how God guides the events of mankind to serve his purpose and the blessings that are a direct result of that.  This course will provide students with an introduction to world history, preparing them for FVL’s college history course and basic historical concepts at the post-secondary level.  Either World History IIA or World History IIB is encouraged for students looking to take College US History during their junior year.

  • Prerequisite:  3.0 cumulative GPA or teacher approval
  • Recommendation: college-bound students
  • Required:  No
  • Note: Credit in History 2A or History 2B not required but strongly recommended for College US History
