WL - Spanish 5 (SPAN5)

Grades 11, 12

This course is designed for motivated and independent students. The course curriculum includes a review of key grammar concepts, but the major focus is the art, literature, and culture of the Hispanic world.  Social Issues as they apply to Hispanic culture will also be discussed. The class is conducted entirely in Spanish with a focus on student-driven discussions and presentations.
 

  • Prerequisite: grade of B- or higher in the second semester of Spanish 4 or teacher approval under an Academic Contract. A student may take Spanish 4 and Spanish 5 concurrently with instructor approval.
  • Recommendation: college-bound students
