Course Path Options

Your child can take a variety of career/trade path classes to get a better idea of what they want to do after graduation. There can be a benefit (knowledge and college credit) to taking all of the classes in a particular career/trade path, but it is not required.

A counselor from FVL's Guidance Department helps each student to plan his or her individual course of study with the approval of the parents. Student ability, teacher recommendations, and the student's career plans are major factors in determining course selections for the upcoming school year.

General

Students not planning to continue their schooling can obtain a sound Christian high school education by following a more general course of study tailored to a student’s individual needs, abilities and interests.

All students are encouraged to pursue at least two years in a vocational-technical school or business college, or enter a branch of the military.
