Practical and Professional Arts
FVL offers courses in a number of specialized subjects as part of the Practical and Professional Arts (PPA) Department. PPA is made up of four areas of study:
- Automotive - Students interested in automotive technology have the opportunity to learn and earn college credit. Classes are held at Fox Valley Technical College, and students spend a few hours on their campus. Courses are open to juniors and seniors, and students must apply for the program through their Guidance Counselor.
- Business & FACE - Business & FACE (Family and Consumer Education) classes can help kickstart students' entry into the business world. With courses like Accounting, Marketing, and Personal Finance, students learn skills can be transferred to any field.

- Technology & Engineering - Technology and Engineering courses at FVL give students the opportunity for hands-on learning. With subjects such as Construction, Graphic Arts, Welding, and Woodworking, these classes are for students who may have an interest in the trades or anyone looking to develop a new skill.
