SCRIP Program

• You can take care of most SCRIP transactions online.
   
• SCRIP is just like cash and can be used with coupons and for specials or sales.
   
• Most SCRIP has a 1-year or 2-year expiration date. Find specific terms by looking on the RaiseRight website or contacting the store via the information on the back of the card.
   
• Tuition credit accumulates from purchases made between June 1 and May 31 each year.
   
• Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors have the credit applied to their next year's tuition. Current senior families can earn rebates toward future students' tuition.
   
• SCRIP rebates accumulated for future students are applied as tuition credit for their freshman year at FVL.
   
• Regularly stocked SCRIP cards sometimes sell out. They are replenished as quickly as possible.
   
• For security reasons, FVL will never send SCRIP cards through the mail. If you place your order online with RaiseRight, some retailers have the option to have your cards mailed directly to you. 

Several times a year, RaiseRight offers online deals (a higher rebate) from a variety of retailers. 

Paying online with either a credit card or a linked bank account gives you access to these deals. 

1. Bank Account
   There is a small convenience fee on each transaction (it is about the cost of printing a check). 
    
2. Credit card
   You can pay with credit card at FVL or online, but the per transaction fee is higher than if you use your bank account.

Online deals are posted on the RaiseRight website and are often featured in the SCRIP section of the FVL app.

Are there other advantages to paying online?

• You can buy SCRIP even when the FVL SCRIP Office is closed.
   
• You don't need to spend your valuable time waiting in line at the FVL SCRIP Office.
   
• You can buy SCRIP when you need it—even when you are traveling.
   
• Family and friends who live around the country can set up an FVL SCRIP account to contribute to tuition credit for a specific current or future FVL student.
   
• It cuts the costs of running the program, enabling more rebate funds to go to FVL Tuition Assistance or Let the Children Come.
