Purpose:
The Fans of Foxes assists with both the funding and overall support for all high school and youth programs that align with the athletic programs offered at FVL.
Rationale:
The Fans of Foxes organization believes that all parents of student-athletes should actively support efforts to ensure the sustainability and growth of our programs. These efforts are essential to fulfilling our commitment to provide uniforms and equipment for all teams.
This policy aims to:
- Increase parental and student involvement in the operation of the canteen and the Foxes Locker.
- Enhance fundraising efforts to support athletic program needs, including, but not limited to, equipment and uniforms.
Active participation from parents is vital to maintaining and strengthening the opportunities available to our students.
Specific Details of the Policy:
- Volunteer Requirements:
-
Volunteers must serve in the canteen or Foxes Locker (not applicable for scorekeeping, running the clock, or other team-related tasks) or other opportunities presented through our AD Office in the adopted software platform.
-
Each student-athlete requires 4-5 volunteer shifts per school year to fulfill the requirement.
-
Acceptable volunteers include parents, family members, grandparents, or other adults chosen by the parents, high school age or older.
-
Student-athletes are encouraged to complete their own volunteer shifts as they directly benefit from the program.
-
Pending injury, suspension, or any other circumstance that may reduce a student’s participation, the student and family may be required to fulfill a prorated requirement based on the length of time as an athlete on the team.
-
- Completion Deadlines:
- Volunteer shifts or the subsequent fee of $200 (or $150 with discount if paid seasonally—see below) must be completed by June 30 of the current school year.
