2021-22 Guidelines

We pray that God will make it possible for us to continue in-person education in the new year. The FVL administration has met to discuss how best to keep our FVL family and ministry safe. They have consulted with the local health department to establish guidelines for 2021-22.

FVLHS will follow these Appleton Health Dept. Recommendations: 

  • Monitor symptoms of child and keep home if sick
  • Promote hand washing and covering coughs/sneezes
  • Perform routine cleaning and disinfecting of common surfaces

The CDC encourages all eligible individuals to receive COVID-19 vaccination


Furthermore, FVLHS will continue to follow these practices:

  • Masks are optional
  • Social distance wherever practical and reasonable
  • Provide additional hand-sanitizer stations
  • Disinfect desks and work areas daily
  • Increase the deep cleaning of all shared spaces
  • Improve facility air quality with upgrades that have been made to our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system
  • Follow the guidelines from the busing services (when available), the North Eastern Conference (when available), and the WIAA

Vaccinated students who are symptom free are exempt from the regulations listed below.

In case of close contact with a COVID positive . . .

Household Member

In case of close contact with a COVID positive Household Member . . .

If you are symptom free

Quarantine for 10 days and remain symptom free (7 days with a negative test)

If vaccinated, monitor for symptoms, but OK to attend school


If you are showing symptoms

Testing is recommended. Isolate for 10 days after symptoms first started until 24 hours after symptoms end and/or after a negative test.

 

Non-Household Member

In case of close contact with a COVID positive non-Household Member . . .

If you are symptom free

Monitor for symptoms, but OK to attend school

Testing is recommended. Isolate for 10 days after symptoms first started until 24 hours after symptoms end and/or after a negative test.
