Why FVL?

Every school has its own strengths, programs, and personality, and FVL is no exception. We have listed a few key items we feel contribute to the culture and atmosphere at FVL.

   FVL's state-of-the-art facility was expanded for the 2018-19 school year, providing additional opportunities for art and science courses (including medical studies). This enhanced the high-quality educational programs that were already in place.

   Each year, FVL hosts 40-50 students from foreign countries, bringing our students in touch with the world at large.

Spiritual Life

Growing spiritually is at the heart of FVL's mission to its students. Each student is enrolled in a curriculum of religious classes.  More than that, as a Christian high school, FVL strives to teach all subjects in the light of God's inerrant word.

Daily chapel services are offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesday, students participate in a time of personal Bible reading. Prayers both open and close the school day.

The Christian atmosphere of the school is evident in the hallways and classrooms where Christian artwork, Bible passages, and handcrafted crosses are displayed.

Each year a Scriptural theme is chosen and emphasized throughout the school year. Students are encouraged to share their faith and put it into action by developing their talents in leadership and volunteer service.
