2026 Junior Foxes Competitive Cheer Program TRYOUTS

WHO - Girls entering grades 6-8

WHEN - Sunday, August 9, 2026 | 2:00-6:00 PM | Arrive at 1:45 PM

WHERE    
    Fox Valley Lutheran High School - Commons
    5300 N. Meade Street in Appleton

COST - Tryouts are FREE (scroll down for additional cost information)

• NOTES    
  Athletes will learn material in preparation for tryouts, including stunts, jumps, dance, and cheer motions.
  Tryouts will be held in small groups to give each athlete the opportunity to showcase their skills.
   
• DRESS 
  Please wear non-slippery shorts, a t-shirt, and athletic shoes.
  Long hair should be pulled back in a soft hair tie.
  No jewelry or gum, please.
  Please remember to bring a water bottle for your athlete.

• 09/18/26: Football Game at FVL performing with the FVL Cheer and Stunt Team
• 09/24/26: Showcase with Freedom at FVL
• 11/14/26: Rally in the Valley, Appleton WI
• 11/15/26: Stunt Clinic and Media Day at FVL
• 12/12/26: Southside Showdown Competition, Waukesha, WI
• 01/??/27: Basketball Game at FVL performing with the FVL Cheer and Stunt Team (exact date TBD)
• 01/10/27: UW-Stevens Point Competition, Stevens Point, WI
• 01/23/27: Kettle Moraine Lutheran Competition, Jackson, WI
• 02/13/27: WACPC State JEM Competition, Hartford, WI

Practices: Sundays 2:45-5:15 PM in FVL Commons

Parent/Guardian Responsibility:

• Registration Cost $300 
  Athletes will not be billed upon registration for tryouts. Invoices will be sent via LeagueApps the week after tryouts, and all payment will be due by August 22.
• Transportation to and from competitions
• Cheer Shoes & Spandex

Registration fees cover:

1. Competition, Coach, and State Entry Fees
2. Uniform & Bow (yours to keep)
3. Music & Choreography
4. Media Day Photography
5. Stunt Clinic

This is a NEW program for FVL Youth Sports, and we’re excited to share this opportunity with the FVL grade school community! We encourage all athletes who are interested to come try out—this is a great chance to get involved and have fun! Our goal is to give grade school athletes exposure to competitive cheer and help prepare them for the high school cheer team in the future.
