FVL Alumni Make a Difference!

Students with Diplomas

There are over 8,000 FVL alumni—what a blessing! Your prayers, attendance at events, and financial support are encouraging to students, faculty, and staff. You make it possible for us to continue with our mission of preparing students for lives of service and for eternity. Thank you for helping to pave the way for current and future students.

  • Scroll down and click the link to schedule a tour. We'd love to show you what the campus looks like today and to catch up on what you've been doing since high school.
  • Keep your contact information up to date (form is linked below), and consider joining us for our upcoming events!

It is truly a blessing to have a school where we can talk feely about sin and grace, forgiveness and salvation. May the Lord continue to bless this ministry!

Caylynn Dedow, recalls, “FVL is small enough for most people to know each other by name, which is what drew me to FVL. I was able to form close relationships with my teachers, whom I have grown to appreciate so much more throughout my time at FVL. FVL is also large enough for everyone to find an activity of their interest. Whether it’s athletics, leadership groups, music, or social clubs, each student has the ability to find something they are passionate about.”

Indoor Sports Center and Campus Site Plan

Timothy Trout Sports Center

About Halfway Done!

Three stages of the Trout Center Building - dirt being moved, July progress, and the rendering

Remarkable construction progress has been made on the Timothy Trout Sports Center since the groundbreaking in February. If all continues as planned, students will be using the new facility to play tennis, practice their golf swings, and hone their batting skills before the end of 2024. Physical education classes will have the opportunity to try new activities and to re-introduce some old favorites. What a blessing!

This 32,000+ square foot facility will help us better serve the expanding student body as we continue to focus on our mission to prepare teens for lives of service and for eternity.

See photos of the construction progress on our Site Plan web page.

Teachers, Coaches, and Students React . . .

Physical Education Classes

  • Curriculum-wise for our phy ed and health department, this is going to be such a true blessing because we’ll be able to revamp our classes. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
    —Mr. Joel Kramer

  • I am overjoyed! Mr. Loberger looked right at me because he knew I wanted to get tennis back into our Nets class curriculum. I am thrilled that the Trouts had a great vision and a great servant heart for our ministry here.
    —Miss Julie Detjen

Coaches

  • We’re going from no outdoor courts to outdoor and indoor courts—I was somewhat in disbelief. This has taught me not to underestimate the generosity of our Lord and his church.
    —Mr. Brian Kopp

  • The golf team has been practicing in the garage. This will be a game-changer for all spring sports, including the one that I coach—golf.

Students

  • I was really excited to hear that we can use the batting cages space in the winter. It will make us better as a program and as athletes.
    —Madison Babcock (Class of 2027)

  • I was shocked, surprised, and excited to know that we are going to have a golf facility that we can use all year long. This is a great blessing to us to have this complex and all that it offers.
    —Kaden Kusserow (Class of 2026)

  • With the indoor and outdoor tennis courts, we can have practice every day, and the fact that we can also practice during the winter too—it’s just awesome. It’s amazing that God gave us this opportunity.
    —Johanna Mears (Class of 2025)

  • To have the opportunity to have one tennis season at FVL—I’m really grateful for that. It encourages the team comaraderie. God has blessed us so much to have this nice facility built on campus. I’m really grateful.
