02 - School Closing

Parents and guardians will be able to set up their Skylert notification preferences to receive notice of school closings by way of an automated email and/or phone call. Normally, Skylert notifications will be shared by 6 AM on days when school is canceled for inclement weather.

School closing information will also be shared on the FVL website and most regional television outlets. Announcements are normally posted by 6 AM. Rapidly changing weather conditions may warrant a later notification.

If school is called off prior to the start of the school day, athletics and activities may still be held after school if weather allows. If school is dismissed early, all after school events will normally be canceled.
