Fox Valley Lutheran High School retains possession and ownership of all student lockers, including, but not limited to, lockers used for academics, interscholastic sports, physical education, and instruments. Students have no expectation of privacy in lockers, desks, or other school property. FVL reserves the right to search lockers and the contents of lockers when school officials believe there has been a violation of school policy and/or criminal activity, including—but not limited to—use and/or possession of banned substances, weapons, or stolen items.
Fox Valley Lutheran High School may also conduct on-campus vehicle searches, either independently or with law enforcement personnel. FVL reserves the right to search vehicles that are on school property when school officials believe there has been a violation of school policy and/or criminal activity, including—but not limited to—use and/or possession of banned substances, weapons, or stolen items.
The administration of Fox Valley Lutheran High School may periodically arrange for security procedures carried out by law enforcement agencies. Such procedures will be carried out in any and all areas of the school premises allowed by the law, including all building areas, parking lots (including vehicles), and grounds. Such procedures may include—but are not limited to—searches for drugs, weapons, bombs, or other banned substances, and may involve the use of specially trained animals.
