Bus Transportation

Parents of students who plan on making use of bus transportation MUST contact the local busing company directly to make sure their student’s name is added to the driver’s roster.

For each District’s contact information, go to the Transportation page of our website. Go to Family Portal > Parents & Students > Transportation Details (the transportation link is in the maroon menu on the right). Go to the Transportation Page.

All busing info is updated on the Transportation web page as soon as the bus companies share their schedules with our office.
 

The following School Districts provide busing for FVL students.

  • Appleton
  • Oshkosh/Neenah/Menasha (Winneconne & Omro)
  • Hortonville
  • Green Bay/De Pere/Wrightstown (Pulaski & Howard Suamico)
  • Kaukauna
  • New London
     

Busing Start Dates

  • Busing begins on the first day of classes (Wednesday, August 26) except for Valley Transit (Appleton City Bus).
  • Valley Transit will start Tuesday, September 1. Questions should be directed to Tina Somers, tsomers@fvlhs.org

Carpooling

Parents of students who are interested in carpooling should contact the Admissions Dept. (Admissions@fvlhs.org) directly to make sure their student's name is added to the carpool list. FVL will reach out to interested families in August and assist with matching up students within their local area.

Traffic Patterns Before & After School

Parent dropoff/pickup may be done at the Bell Tower or Commons entrances. Please review the dropoff and pickup maps. No drive-thru traffic is allowed on the service road directly south of the building. This area is designed for buses only.

Parking Permits

Read the FVL Parking Policy online (it is under the Family Portal > Parents & Students tab - in the maroon menu on the right).

  • Student parking is available in the south and back east lots. Students will select a spot in the lot for the year.
    • Emails were sent to parents the last week of July with details on how to reserve/purchase parking spots for their students. Questions may be directed to Tina Somers, tsomers@fvlhs.org.
    • Seniors were able to select a spot starting on Monday, August 3 at 8:00 AM through Monday, August 10 at noon, on a first-come-first-served basis. 
    • Underclassmen will be able to sign up for parking starting on Tuesday, August 11, beginning at 8:00 AM. 
       
  • The parking permit fee is $20 for the full year and $10 for Semester 2.
     
  • Permits are purchased online. Permits purchased prior to Friday, August 21 can be picked up on Orientation Day in Commons. Passes may also be picked up during regular business hours in the School Office.
